Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell

The first female physician in the USA was Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell. She graduated from Geneva Medical College in Geneva, New York, on January 23, 1849, making her the first woman to earn a medical degree in the United States. Her achievement paved the way for women to enter the medical profession in the country.
